I have retired from pastoral ministry, but continue to officiate at weddings, commitment services, and funerals, and to provide "pulpit supply" for local churches. During my active ministry I served primarily in the United Church of Christ (Congregational). My background is in community churches, where over the course of some 300 weddings I learned to create unique and special services.

I received my B.A. in psychology from Stanford University and my Masters in Theology and Doctorate of Ministry from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago.

If you are reading this, you are probably considering having me officiate at your wedding. I encourage you to call, so we can discuss your wishes. I like to work with you to design just the sort of service you want. I have extensive experience in creating ceremonies for people of diverse cultures and ethnicities, and in involving children in the case of blended families.

If, on the other hand, you simply want a traditional Protestant service, I can do that, too.

Your wedding ceremony is the start of a new life together. If you have been living together, this is perhaps even more true. Your ceremony matters.

I reside in Astoria, Oregon, and may be reached at 503.883.3097.
